Visual direction cards are one of the best tools I’ve found to foster independence in students while they are completing assignments. These cards provide clarity and allow for self-checking to make sure students followed the steps.
After you print and cut these out, you can choose which ones to display for your students depending on the steps they need to take to complete their work. You can put magnets on the back of of the cards to stick to a magnetic white board, or you could also display these in a pocket chart.
